Reports

There is a huge array of reports in BookManager. A collection of pre-designed and fixed reports are provided in BookManager, as well as a expansive area to create almost any report that is completely customisable. When a report is created, the preferences are saved so that the report can be reused any time. Most reports are designed to be viewed on-screen, but can be easily printed or saved as a file. Reports saved to a file can be used by other programs for further manipulation to produce catalogues or websites. The following are the types of reports found in BookManager:

Custom Inventory Reports
There are customisable inventory reports that include or exclude any item from your inventory, based on any number of conditions that you set. Each report can also be tailored to show different types of information based on the column headers you choose.

Inventory Reports

Inventory reports are pre-set fixed reports that you can update each time you need current information. In this section you will find reports that will do things from suggesting inventory deletions to finding items that have been in stock for over 12 months. Month-end inventory total and performance reports are also accessed here.

Sales Reports
There are a number of pre-set sales reports in BookManager. You can generate a list of best-sellers in your store, based on an array of conditions, such as time period, classification, suppliers, etc. You can also set a list of your best-selling authors, sales for a particular ISBN or items that need to be reordered based on recent sales.

Orders Reports
There are pre-set order reports that can be updated to show; pending orders, special orders, no-show orders now past their cancel date, slow arrivers (orders not yet received), and special order slips from no-show orders. There is also a "General Orders" report that contains conditions that you choose to include or exclude based on your desired outcome. These reports are very valuable because they allow you to keep track of all of your orders in a organised and effective manner.

Supplier Reports
Reports can be created for specific suppliers based on the information they require. For instance, you may be required to send a sales report to a supplier for extra credit after a sale or promotion.

Other Options
In this area of BookManager you will also find places to scan Gift Cards to show their balance, find any report that was updated by other routines in BookManager including multistore documents and month-end reports.
